On Thursday, September 24th, 2019, we went by bus to Normandy to visit the Caen Memorial and see the American cemetery. We also went to Omaha Beach and saw old canons and war tanks. Before this fieldtrip with our History and English teachers, we learned many key elements about the Second World War and how many soldiers died fighting to save our country. We were impressed that some vestiges of the war still remained.

Dans le cadre d’un projet sur deux ans sur la Shoah et la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale, les élèves de terminale ont eu l’opportunité d’aller en Normandie afin de visiter le Mémorial de Caen, ils ont également pu voir les plages du débarquement. L’occasion pour eux de se rendre compte des événements qui ont eu lieu durant la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale.
